What's the Pandaoslar roof system?
Oct 17, 2024
Today we would like to introduce you to our Pandasolar brand of roof mounting systems.
In terms of categorization, our roofing systems are divided into three main categories based on different materials: tile roofs, metal roofs and concrete roofs.
So let's first understand the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of these three different materials.
Tile roof
Characteristics:
- Aesthetics: tile roofs have a traditional aesthetic and are available in a variety of styles, often used for vintage or rustic style buildings.
- Breathability: The gaps between the tiles help to ventilate the interior of the roof.
- Durability: Tile materials are durable and can withstand harsh weather conditions.
Benefits:
- Environmentally Friendly: shingles are usually made from natural materials such as clay or shale and can be recycled.
- Good Thermal Insulation: shingles have some thermal insulation that helps regulate indoor temperature.
Disadvantages:
- Heavy Weight: shingle roofs are heavier and may require sturdier roof supports.
- Fragile: shingles are prone to breakage during transportation and installation.
- Maintenance: broken shingles need to be regularly inspected and replaced
Metal Roof
Characteristics:
- Light Weight: metal materials are lighter than shingles and cement and require less roof framing.
- Corrosion Resistance: specially treated metal roofs have good corrosion resistance.
- Reflective: metal surfaces reflect the sun's rays, helping to reduce the amount of heat absorbed by the building.
Advantages:
- Quick to install: Metal roofs are usually quick to install, which can shorten the construction cycle.
- Durability: Metal roofs have a long lifespan, with some lasting up to 50 years or more.
- Low maintenance: metal roofs require little to no maintenance.
Disadvantages:
- Noise: raindrops falling on a metal roof may create a loud noise.
- Thermal Expansion: metal expands and contracts thermally when the temperature changes, which may affect the sealing of the seams.
Cement Roofing
Characteristics:
- Strong: cement roofs are very strong and can withstand large external forces.
- Flatness: the surface of the cement roof is flat and easy for other building materials to adhere to.
- Waterproof: the cement material itself has good waterproof performance.
Advantages:
- Fire Resistance: Cement roofs have good fire resistance.
- Durability: Cement roofs have a long service life, generally up to 30-50 years.
- Simple Maintenance: routine maintenance is relatively simple, only need to check the waterproof layer regularly.
Disadvantages:
- Heavy Weight: Cement roofs are very heavy and require reinforced roof frames for support.
- Complicated Construction: The construction process of cement roofs is more complicated and the construction period is longer.
- Thermal Conductivity: Cement materials are highly thermally conductive, which may lead to difficulties in regulating indoor temperatures.
When choosing a roofing material, comprehensive consideration should be made based on the design style of the building, its utilization function, the budget, and the local climatic conditions.
Depending on the characteristics of the different roof materials, our solar panel mounting systems are designed differently.
